ThinkGeek | Bacon Salt

15 Sep

If you only knew about my love affair with bacon and how many times a week I talk about the salty, smoky pork goodness.

mmmmm, bacon

My last few days:

  • Sunday morning before the wedding, bacon on the communal plate, long discussion on all that is bacon.
  • Monday morning at the hotel, perfectly cooked bacon on Renée’s plate, long discussion on the orgasm in the mouth that is smoked and cured pork belly.
  • Yesterday I turned on the DVR and lo and behold, Food Network’s The Best Thing I Ever Ate: Bacon Edition.
  • And now, today, click through my Google Reader List and TaDa, ThinkGeek has a product for sale that combines my favorite flavor with my favorite spice, Bacon Salt.

I truly feel sorry for Vegans, Vegetarians, Muslims and Jews.

ThinkGeek | Bacon Salt .

Note: don’t forget their other drool inducing products, Bacon Gumballs, Canned Bacon, and if you are just in it for the looks of it, Gummy Bacon.

Alton Brown: Safe and Scary Kitchen Hacks – Gizmodo

25 Aug

Alton Brown is my culinary hero. Food messiah. What-have-you.

He recently did an interview on Gizmodo with Wilson Rothman about his famous “repurposing” of things to use in the kitchen.  Nothing too wacky, but a good read nevertheless.
